This page covers everything you need to know before your first appointment so you feel prepared, comfortable, and confident about your treatment.

Before Your First Appointment

Complete Your Intake Form
You’ll receive a secure link to a short health history form when you book. Please fill this out at least 24–48 hours before your appointment. This helps me prepare for your treatment and ensures we can spend more time focusing on you.

Wear Comfortable Clothing
Loose-fitting clothes make it easier to access areas like your arms, legs, abdomen, or back. Towels or blankets are always available if needed.

Eat Lightly & Stay Hydrated
Try to avoid arriving on an empty stomach. A light meal or snack beforehand can help you feel more comfortable during treatment.

Bring Relevant Health Information
If you have recent blood tests, medical reports, or other relevant health records, please bring them or email them beforehand.

Your First Appointment

Your first session includes a detailed conversation about your health concerns, history, and goals in detail. This will be followed by your first treatment. This may include acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, or herbal recommendations.

Initial appointments are usually 60–90 minutes. Follow-up appointments are around 45-60 minutes.

Your treatment plan is tailored to you. Some people notice changes quickly, while others benefit from a more gradual approach. We’ll discuss what to expect at your first session.

After Your Treatment

You may feel deeply relaxed, fatigued, or energised. All of these are normal responses.

Occasionally, there may be mild bruising or tenderness from acupuncture. If you’re on blood-thinning medication or bruise easily, let me know beforehand.

Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, or swimming in public pools for 24 hours after cupping or acupuncture.

I practise at Zhong Centre in St Kilda and Trans Space in Brunswick, and once a month at Asthetique Skin Care in Shepparton.

Trans Space is located in Brunswick. Address and access details arrive with your booking confirmation.

Zhong Centre is located at 306a/310 St Kilda Road, St Kilda VIC 3182.

• Longer-term parking behind The Post Office Hotel (off Inkerman St)
